We appreciate your concern and outreach as we adjust to the daily, and sometimes hourly, changes affecting our families and staff. For a look at what we are doing here at RMHC Maryland in the best interest of our vulnerable population, read our updated COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan.
As you may have heard, policies and procedures have changed at the house. Volunteer service is on pause and the hundreds of volunteers who sustain us weekly cannot come and prepare meals nor provide activities and supplies for at least a month. Not only are we missing the human interaction that feeds the soul, we are affected by the financial impact of the cost to feed and take care of our families each day. We need you more than ever. Many are asking how they can help us. Please consider making a donation to our Greatest Need Fund.
While we can’t all BE together right now, we can COME together to make sure our families are fed, loved, supported and sustained. Thank you for your infinite support and care.
The 26-foot-tall red heart on our rooftop is now glowing blue in honor of frontline and essential workers as a special thank you for supporting – not only our families – but all of us throughout the COVID-19 crisis. And it will stay blue until we’re safely able to welcome everyone back through our doors here at RMH!
