Due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) we are currently accepting referrals with limited check in dates. Social Workers will receive updates approximately every 2 weeks. Families who have referrals submitted for potential check in will need to follow our standard policies along with COVID specific policies and criteria. Some of those additional polices are listed below. Please continue to monitor our website for updated information.
o Check in dates occur approximately every 2 ½ weeks. Please check with your social worker for our next round of check in dates.
o We will accept referrals for families who need 5 or more days.
o Our priority system will still apply (1st priority oncology, 2nd priority families with a child in the PICU, NICU, Shock Trauma or awaiting a transplant. All other families are priority 3).
o Only two adults and the patient will be allowed to stay at the House. No siblings will be allowed. In addition, adults will not be able to alternate days/weeks with other family members. Those adults present at check-in will need to stay for the duration.
o Families will not be allowed to return/visit home or a job and then come back to the House.
o Families will be required to complete a daily wellness check which will include a temperature check.
o Families must be traveling from an area that has a confirmed decline of COVID-19 as well as a decline of new adult hospital admissions and mortality rate for the past 14 days.
o Families must pass a background check.
We appreciate your support during this difficult time. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at 410-528-1010 x.103.
