Baltimore Business Journal Names RMHC Maryland as a Best Place to Work 2023 Winner

Good News in the Neighborhood

On Saturday, September 17, RMH hosted the second-annual Community Day along with our Historic Jonestown neighborhood partners: Helping Up Mission, the Aquarium, the Women’s Civic League, Living Classrooms, McKim Association, The Jewish Museum of Maryland, and the Flag House. Festivities stretched from in front of the House into McKim park and included activities such as face painting, larger than life hula hoops from Hoop Love, wacky science experiments from Science Guys of Baltimore, a magic show by Magic Eddie, demonstrations by the Shogun Karate Club, music by Dr. Drum Dot Drumming and a concert sung by the Helping Up Mission men and women’s choirs. At the basketball court, Peace Players ran skill drills with kids of all ages, after which everyone cooled down with soft-serve ice cream from the Miss Twist ice cream truck. In front of the House, attendees played cornhole on the RMH boards, enjoyed hot sandwiches at the Helping Up Mission grill, snacks from Kidruz Concessions, danced to the beats of DJ Five Star, and snapped a few memories at the RMH photo booth. Thank you to all our neighbors who came out with their families to enjoy the day with us. We had FUN!
