We’re excited to announce that we were awarded the Hearts & Hands Award and a $20K grant in recognition of initiatives that provide family-centered services through our Million Dollar Match Game. The Hearts & Hands Awards are presented by RMHC Global as part of the charity’s commitment to share and replicate best practice programs among the organization’s over 275 Chapters located in 64 countries and regions.
“We were thrilled to receive a Hearts & Hands Award as recognition for a fun and unique program that helped us move ever closer to our fundraising goal for our new House,” said Sandy Pagnotti, president of Ronald McDonald House Charities Baltimore. “We developed this game in partnership with our creative team at dlr | marketing, inc. and were amazed at the successful engagement that resulted.”
At the end of 2016, we set out on our most ambitious matching opportunity in our history that featured an online interactive game to educate the public about RMHC Baltimore and Our New House while raising significant dollars. For a 6-week period, a local foundation committed to matching every dollar donated, dollar-for-dollar, with the goal of raising $1 million dollars for Our New House. The Million Dollar Match Game helped to inform supporters and bring awareness to the New House while helping to raise a million dollars towards the New House Campaign at the same time.
“Local RMHC Chapters are investing in groundbreaking initiatives that best support the needs of children and families in their local communities,” said Sheila Musolino, president and CEO of RMHC. “We could not be prouder of the work to expand the reach of services, strengthen the resources provided to families or mobilize support for local organizations. We believe these efforts underscore the vital role that RMHC plays in enabling family-centered care and providing programs that help keep families together when they need it most.”
RMHC Baltimore was among one of ten chapters selected for Hearts & Hands Award thanks to our leadership and innovative initiative. dlr | marketing, inc, a Towson Maryland based full-service innovative marketing agency is the agency of record for RMHC Baltimore and developed the Million Dollar Match Game in collaboration with the Baltimore House and StyleFrog which specializes in digital marketing and is based in the UK.
